Philosophy
A constructivist approach and a humanistic philosophy in which children are the protagonists of their own learning.
We respect each child’s individual learning pace, as well as the different stages of development. Our children learn through sensory, hands-on, playful, and active experiences that engage all their senses.
Our team of professionals will guide and support your children throughout every stage of their development, helping them become independent, self-sufficient, confident, capable, happy, and well-rounded individuals.
Beginners: 1-2 years / Toddlers: 2-3 years
In both grades, learning through play, games, and sensory experiences is essential at this stage of development. We focus on strengthening gross motor skills, balance, coordination, body awareness, and control. Children are encouraged to explore freely through scribbling and creative activities using a variety of materials and textures, making every experience meaningful and enriching.
Students expand their vocabulary through songs, stories, play, and interaction with their classmates, teachers, and stimulating materials. They gradually learn to follow instructions, respond to different stimuli, and understand age-appropriate boundaries.
Emotional development is also an essential part of our daily routine. Through our morning welcome, we encourage emotional awareness, mindfulness, and an understanding of time and space, helping children recognize how they feel, become aware of their surroundings, and begin each day feeling connected and secure.
Throughout the day, we provide emotional support in a warm and nurturing environment where every child feels safe, loved, and cared for.
K1: 3-4 years
In this grade, we continue strengthening gross motor skills, including coordination, balance, posture, strength, and spatial awareness. Children expand their vocabulary by learning and using new words and phrases in meaningful contexts, while developing their ability to follow and carry out specific instructions.
We introduce vowels and sounds, while gradually guiding children from free scribbling to more intentional strokes and helping them develop the correct grip on crayons and pencils. Social and emotional skills are especially important at this stage, so we focus on recognizing, expressing, and managing emotions while also strengthening attention and concentration.
Through our morning welcome and daily routines, we incorporate mindfulness, emotional awareness, and orientation in time and space, helping children become more aware of themselves, their emotions, their surroundings, and their daily activities.
Early mathematical thinking is developed through hands-on experiences such as sorting, creating patterns and sequences, counting, tracing numbers, forming sets, and introducing addition and subtraction using concrete materials.
K2: 4-5 years
In this grade, our gross motor skills program introduces new abilities and challenges. We continue developing coordination, including eye-hand and eye-foot coordination, balance, and spatial awareness. Fine motor skills become increasingly important at this stage, so children participate in activities designed to strengthen and control movements from the shoulder, elbow, and wrist all the way to the fingers.
Oral language becomes more developed, allowing children to respond and communicate using short, structured phrases. They also learn to follow and carry out more complex instructions and actions. We introduce consonant sounds alongside previously learned vowel sounds, while incorporating reading comprehension and activities that help children identify and divide words into syllables.
Mathematical thinking continues to develop through sequences, patterns, sets, number-quantity relationships, one-to-one correspondence, number sequences, and hands-on addition and subtraction with numbers up to 25.
We also closely support the development of attention, communication, role-playing, and social skills. Recognizing, naming, expressing, and managing emotions remains an essential part of their development. Daily routines gradually become more structured and challenging, encouraging greater independence, confidence, and participation.
K3: 5-6 years
In this grade, kids continue strengthening their fine and gross motor skills. The gain all letter sounds (vowels and consonants) thanks to our school phonics program. Numbers go all the way to 75 or 100 depending on the personal rythms of students. At this point English is fully understood and the skills are advanced in this second language. Kids have a very clear emotional awareness and have a vast vocabulary and overall skills. Strong focus on the reading and writing process.
Pre-First: 6-7 years
This is a very important grade in which kids consolidate crucial concepts. The Reading & Writing process in Spanish and English, basic math operations, emotional tools and maturity, fine and gross motor skills, etc… They grow immensely in all their development areas in order to go fully ready and prepared for the BIG school (Elementary).
